So far so good

"I’ve been out of the radar seen for the last 15 years or so. This is the first raft I e purchased since one of cobras 1st iRad radar detectors which the app is no longer available. I e only used it once for a long drive, it seemed to do good so far. Only time will tell. Still looking at the escort 360c redline since I do a lot of driving from Texas to California for work. I need a good distance detector but so the cobra is doing what it’s supposed to. I would definitely recommend this for a beginner getting into them. I do like the features, just wish It had 2 antennas and maybe some arrows like the fancier ones."

"Only had few weeks, magnet mount is great, bought several so I can just put detector in different vehicles. Set your settings to detector through the app on your phone, its easier than top of detector. So far my only complaint is I wish the display on front would stay on instead of the Knight Rider line going back & forth."

I bought 2 I can only use 1

"The first one I tried kept going off in my car on a false KA band. No matter where I placed it on the windshield. I had when I bought my wife’s car so I tried to my other car and I have no issues with the KA band I contacted customer, but they didn’t help me at all. Give me the runaway. so I guess I’ll just keep this use the cable and the amount. Spending $250 on one that does not work, customer service was no help! I don’t recommend these radar detectors! Another thing you can’t update your email. No firmware updates for Mac computers???"

The radar works good. The power source doesn’t work well for me.

"The radar detector works good, but the power supply doesn’t work well for me. I ordered the extra cord with the type C because I do not have a 12 V charger dock at the front of my car but the USB-C power turns it off, probably about 20 to 30 minutes into a trip. I’m not sure if it’s the cord or what other than that. It works good when I can have it on."

Price Performer

"The Cobra 700i is more than enough to detect radars on freeways. I spotted a camping cop about a mile ahead and the Cobra threw 5 bars immediately. Alternatively, it will pace up as you get closer. The lock-out works well, not perfect. With the app and CarPlay, it’s easy to lockout. My one complaint is that “live-ka band” goes off and repeats as you approach, lowering your music volume. A bit overkill, would like it to notify once or twice."
