"i've had this for about a year now and it still looks brand new, the app is a game changer for the radar detector as well, the live ka band alerts help you prepare for the mean men in blue up ahead, although i will say two things, the filtering is a little rocky at times, i live in a county were x and k band are still commonly used. x band will throw a false alert every two miles and is basically unusable, although have seen real alerts on x band i have to keep it off, k band is exceptionally does a better job at this, i will still get false alerts here and there but way better than x band, and ka band i see more real than fake alerts, very good filtering for ka and k band, cant say the same for x. again you get what you paid for. overall very good purchase for the price"

- I passed by like 3 cops and my alarm did not go off
- Please note that just because you see a police vehicle, it does not mean they are running radar. If radar/laser is in use, your detector will provide an alert. You also want to make sure you are mounting your detector centered on the windshield and away from any obstructions. Thank you.
- Can alerts frequencies be modified? Egg. Any KA alert I receive with a 35 frequency is false ( I have tested this). 34 is an actually Cop using Radar.
- The RAD 480i is not capable of band segmentation, which is what you are inquiring about. If you are wanting this functionality, you will need to look at the Cobra Dualpro 360

- Why do I keep getting KA alerts every 5 minutes for the duration of my drive? Also, I have not received not one alert from other users relaying where the cops are, and just by the grace of pure luck, I wasn't speeding too bad, but why didn't my radar sound off the 480i with a premium subscription over a year now?

- does it work in European countries? Also can you covert language from English to German and speed reading from mile to Kilo meter ?
