"Up to 38 mile range. Maybe. I just wanted to try 1 mile through the woods. No go. You need a cleared line of sight for distance. They probably work great at a carnival event. I will hold on to them for extreme emergency."

"Got a set for my son and I to use around our acreage which is out in the middle of nowhere. Have only used the basic talk mode and haven’t really explored all the features yet which is why I only gave it 4 stars. Only complaint is the talk button is a little flimsy feeling and seems like it won’t hold up well. Good range and clarity."
"Bought the radios in 2019 just for deer hunting with my son in the mountains, to date they have worked flawlessly, This last hunting season they exceeded my expectations ! Long story short, my son and I got separated in the mountains (no cell service and far enough apart I could not hear his rifle go off) , a snow storm blew in with dropping temperatures. To my horror I got the radio message "slightly" crackly Dad I'm lost, For the next 3 1/2 hours I talked him back to civilization in a snow storm with temperatures hovering around -25C (-13F) So very very thankful for the radios, as my son got closer, the signal cleared up and was crisp and sharp"
