"We use these to keep track of our 10 (almost 11) year old within the neighborhood while playing or on a bike ride. She won't have a cellphone for a couple more years, so these are a great option. Simple, not complicated features are a plus for me. We haven't figured out the weather status capability on these yet. The walkie-talkies are clear and transmit well. Shipping was too high. . . $20 is too much, but I purchased anyway."

"So this is the second review iv left and some how my other is not there??? So I bought these for us to use with my kids and the 4wheelers around the house. We live in a wooded area so I didn't expect to get the 16 miles but it's says 8 miles through woods so I thought perfect. The furthest we go is 4.6 miles away down the road so it should be shorter for radio signal. Well it wouldn't make it through 1.2 miles in woods!!!!!! We tried them out yesterday while I went to get Gas and u would think with being able to see each other we should get signal but yet again NO contact. Should of just bought the Mickey mouse walkies they work the same and cheaper. I hope cobra atleast changes the distance these say they go!"
"We bought these for us to use on our 4wheelers with our kids. We live in a wooded area so we know you don't get the full range BUT these say 8 miles in wooded areas and these wouldn't even reach 1 miles through the woods. These are not ment for hiking or camping use!!!"
