The RAD 700i radar detector comes complete with a NEW EZ Mag Mount windshield mount, a 12-volt power cord and quick reference guide.
To mark a particular location, press the "MRK" button. The display will read: "Mark?" Press the "MRK" button again to assign a label to it. There are four (4) labels: Red Light, Speed Camera, Speed Trap and Other. To scroll through the labels, simply press the volume (+) or (-) buttons until you reach the desired label. Once you've selected the label, press the "MRK" button again to confirm.
To lock out a false alert, (X, K or Laser only) press the mute button three (3) times on the detector during the alert. Pressing the mute button the first time will silence the audio. Pressing it a second time will generate a prompt on the display that will read: "Lockout?" Pressing it a third time will confirm that you want to lock this signal out by location and frequency. A "Stored" message will then be displayed.
The Drive Smarter® app allows drivers to share and receive alerts in real time. This gives drivers ultimate protection when combined with the RAD 700i radar detector.

Yes. Since the RAD 700i comes included with built-in GPS, threats such as traffic and speed light cameras are stored in our Defender Database and will be reported on your RAD 700i.

"The radar detector works good, but the power supply doesn’t work well for me. I ordered the extra cord with the type C because I do not have a 12 V charger dock at the front of my car but the USB-C power turns it off, probably about 20 to 30 minutes into a trip. I’m not sure if it’s the cord or what other than that. It works good when I can have it on."
"The Cobra 700i is more than enough to detect radars on freeways. I spotted a camping cop about a mile ahead and the Cobra threw 5 bars immediately. Alternatively, it will pace up as you get closer. The lock-out works well, not perfect. With the app and CarPlay, it’s easy to lockout. My one complaint is that “live-ka band” goes off and repeats as you approach, lowering your music volume. A bit overkill, would like it to notify once or twice."

"Haven’t had a detector in years, but recently bought this one. Works great. Picks up signals early. I’ve only had it a week, so my opinion may change. Really, though, the one big disappointment with the 700i is that there is no “smart” power cable available for it with a mute button. It’s a real aggravation. In order to mute, you have to reach up to the actual unit and press the button. Not sure why Cobra doesn’t offer that for this model."
"Very good false signal filtering as Dollar General K band doesn’t cause a alarm which has always on others I’ve had. Mount doesn’t work very well on my Genesis as a raked windshield won’t allow the detector to lay flat(parallel) to the dash."
"I have a Mac computer, and I'm unable to update the firmware. I have tried to contact support with no reply back from support. I just bought the new detector 700 I, but I'm unable to update the firmware because I don't have a windows computer? I get nothing from support."
