Does this software update the Cobra RAD 480i
The 1 yr NA Subscription keeps you up to date with all speed camera and red light camera notifications directly through your device and is compatible with the RAD 480i. To update the devices software, you can find the software package here: https://www.cobra.com/pages/irad-system-updates
So i extended my defender database subscription for 1 year, registered my device, filled out the the activation form below on that page, downloaded the detector tools, the filled out the form below to activate my defender database subscription just like the page directions said to do and yet still not able to update my device. i really dont trust this thing anymore.......something has to be wrong with it because when i register the device it keeps saying a" already in use" but i keep being told "they are reliable." If it were reliable then i would have no trouble updating the thing. "These are very reliable and well made detectors {made by the same people as Escort Line] so you shouldnt have any issues" It is apparent i am having issues and have lost trust in his $450 radar detector because after all i did purchase this product solely for the purpose of detecting radars while i travel which is all the time, so much traveling i have to get an oil change every month.
