Decent Range/Defective Design

"Frequency of belt clips breaking and main radio button falling off not worth the trouble"

Leon (2/5)

Good features, mediocre performance.

"I purchased the RX685, which is the same as the RX680 but made for a specific retailer. The radios are nice and have good features, such as the 60 channels and NOAA weather channels. I didn't try the 40 mile range in a line-of-sight scenario, but we couldn't maintain vehicle to vehicle communication past a mile or so, which was disappointing. In the mountains while hunting and riding, we could get about the same range, around a mile, but that is to be expected in that type of terrain. The PTT button on one of the radios kept falling out. It was actually a rubber cover that has a post that pushed the PTT switch inside the radio, however without the rubber button, you could not push the internal switch to communicate, so I'm returning them."

Mark N. (3/5)

Poor range

"Bad product. Less than a mile away (0. 9) to be exact i lost my signal and couldn't communicate until I got about a half mile closer. (0. 5). The company might claim of cell tower or other interfaces, but Cobra, should've accounted for that when they manufactured the product."

Ron (2/5)

They seem sturdy and durable.

"They seem sturdy and durable. Haven't had a chance to take them out and really test them. Will be doing this in about 2 weeks to give them a good run through."

James S. (4/5)

These only work like two

"These only work like two blocks away !!! VERY DISSATISFIED"

Freddie J. (1/5)

Richard U. (5/5)

Cobra RX680 Two way Radio

"I have used these radio`s while I was out for a walk. For what I am going to use them for they are going to be the BEST! I had my neighbor on one of the RX680 radio and I was on the other. From 100 yards to 3/4 of a mile, very thick tree growth we could hear each other with no problem at all. I know 3/4 of a mile is not that far for this radio but the crispness and clairity of of our voices never waverd,,,very strong.Thank you Cedar Electronics for a great product."

Stephen W. (5/5)

"Delivered with care"

Delmar (5/5)

"Good"

Kathleen (5/5)

".I like this walkie talkie, except that the range in only, about 1/4 mile."
