"These worked great while we were camping in short range. However, I would be happy and give a 5 star review if these worked 1/10th the distance advertised. We have a tennis courts in our neighborhood which is exactly half a mile away from our house. Thought I would try to play while my son stayed at home. Told him to chat with me while I went to the courts to make sure if he needed me, he could call. We talked as I slowly drove to the court which is ONLY half mile away. The signal began to break up well before the court. At the court, the signal went in and out and was mostly unable to get a sentence out between us. I cant say how disappointed I was in the performance in these. We have brand new batteries in both walkie talkies."

Don’t even try inside a house
"Have yet to try it in a flat open field, but from inside my home, trying to talk to my wife on her walk, I’m pretty sure I could have just yelled from inside and got as far as this radio worked… it literally only worked for about 1/4 mile, so I think that if in an open field, they should at least beep at 3.5 miles. That must be where the printing error was… there’s no way they will work at 35 miles, there would at least be a tall blade of grass somewhere in between that would stop the communication. Pretty sure my childhood Scooby Doo walkie talkies worked better as I could talk to my friend from my house to his, 4 doors down… from our bedrooms. 🤣🤣"
Horrible Range
"I bought these brand new tonight for an offroading trip coming in a few days. Considering the price point and claimed range I had high hopes. My roommate helped me test them, at .2 miles it had perfect clarity, at .4 miles it started to get bad static, there was zero communication past .5 miles. I should mention this was in a residential area with no tell buildings that should cause any serious communication. I expected at least up to a mile all things considered, but J was extremely disappointed. I understand in a residential area they won’t work well, but having horrific static at .4 miles is beyond absurd"

- I don't see anywhere, how these radios are recharged: Dock? AA's? Tripple AA's? 12 Volt? 110 Cord? USB? Should we guess????
- Thank you for your question. Three AA rechargeable batteries are included and a charging jack located on the top of the radio to plug the charging cable into USB-compatible power port. Alternatively, you can use non-rechargeable AA batteries.
- Your specs say these work within a 35-mile radius. Are there any reviews from people who have been that far away from each other? I need these to be VERY long range. Most reviews speak in single-digit miles.

- I purchased the ACTX645 and have charged them with my computer because the docking station never charged them. Can another docking station be gotten sepreately
