"This is the product I was looking for. Thanks for the awesome product."
"Batteries failed to charge after one charge. Hardly used them."
"I actually have model ACXT 1037R FLT-1, but it seems to be identical to the 1035 radio and has the same features. I'm not sure why there's a different model number. Perhaps the 1037 is exclusive to WalMart. It is a nice radio full of features, and seems well constructed and durable, although I haven't abused it to find out how tough it is. It's a little thicker than some of the other models, but not enough to be an issue. NOAA Weather radio is very useful for weather alerts and weather forecast. I purchased this radio for hunting so I can communicate with the other members of my hunting party since there is no cell service in the mountains where we hunt, at least not for Verizon customers. The other members have different model radios of the same brand, but we had no problem communicating when set to the same channel/privacy code. We often hunt in different areas, but typically close enough for radios. . The radios seem to reach a mile or two in the mountains, so not as far as we hoped, but about the same as any other radio in this category and frequency range, I would suspect. Vehicle to vehicle didn't transmit as far as expected either, within a couple miles max on a winding mountain road. The waterproof feature is great for those times I get caught in the rain, and if I happen to drop it in water, it will float, supposedly. The pocket clip was broken when I opened the box, but customer support was awesome. I emailed them in the morning and they had a replacement pocket clip shipped by lunch time. Amazing response time. Read the user manual. Some channels operate at low power automatically, so if power is an issue, you need to know which channels to use/avoid. The rewind feature is very useful when I need someone to repeat what they said. I can listen to the rewind instead of asking them to repeat themselves. It saves several messages, not just the last transmission, so you can replay entire conversations."

"I absolutely love the Cobra ACXT1035R FLT radios. I’ve used them in some pretty extreme environments—on the water, in remote locations, and even during bad weather—and they’ve never let me down. The fact that they float and are fully waterproof is a huge bonus for me, especially being around boats and dive trips all the time. The audio is clear, even with some wind or background noise, and the Rewind-Say-Again feature is actually super useful when you miss something important the first time. I also appreciate the NOAA weather alerts—they’ve helped me dodge a few storms more than once. Range-wise, I know it says 37 miles, but realistically you get solid, reliable coverage up to a few miles in real-world conditions, which is more than enough for most of what I use them for. If you’re spending a lot of time outdoors, on the water, or off-grid, these are worth every penny. Definitely a piece of gear I trust and recommend."
"The Cobra radio is an excellent walkie talkie with a lot of features. It has weather alerts, secure channels, push to talk, voice activated transmit, and other features. The only thing is the charger is a micro-usb which is disappointing to have such old charging tech on a nice new radio. The waterproofing is solid and it floats extremely well, making it an excellent outdoor radio."
"Receipt was quick - well packaged and was not damaged. Easy integration with our other radios and easy to set up. Love that it is waterproof and we use around the water to communicate between beach and house. We think this is going to be a great addition!"
"As a commercial ship captain, I'm required to monitor many radios. The volume of radio traffic often makes it difficult to transmit and receive vital information with my crew over the traditional frequencies. Problem solved with the Cobra Micro Talk. Not only can I page individual crew, but the privacy function provides for uninterupted come. A powerful tool in a compact platform."
"All the electronic features work as stated and I had no issues with that. The problem is that it is poorly designed, likely not field tested more than just sitting outside, poor UI/UX of the exterior unit, and cheaply made clip and case. The cost should be more around the $50 instead of $100 because the plastic screen is extremely thin and cheap. It got scratched immediately after clipping it to my belt and me just walking and my cotton shirt sleeve brushing up against it. Should be made out of sapphire glass, or more durable plastic to uphold field work in nature where I intended to use it, up until the clip broke off after trying to take it off my belt. It's made of very cheap and thin plastic. The lower lip of the clip comes out to much so it snags on your belt so there is no easy way to take it off unless you leverage a finger onto the antenna which only means it's a matter of time before the antenna cracks off. It happened while I was on a river bank over rocks and luckily I didn't drop it. Finally, the fact that they slipped a small note to remove the USB cover to release internal pressure from the battery compartment before screwing it open proves it's an after thought and not tested because it's not in the manual. Plus, that advice doesn't help. You have to use a screwdriver to pry it open and that is guaranteed to crack the cover eventually. I get it has to be airtight to float, but more thought in that design is needed because it's not easy to remove. I feel like they didn't test it outside in real-life situations like they imply in their marketing. I think it's a good unit for sitting, not a good unit for hiking, working, etc. All in all, I'll keep it because I have so many volunteer workdays this year and don't have time to waste on this."
