Mobile Navigation More Accessible Than Ever with Reasonably Priced, Effortless Technology

Innovation is for the Masses with Cobra's Newest GPS Device

LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 5, 2007--The next generation of portable, plug-and-play navigation is here with the launch of Cobra Electronics' (NASDAQ:COBR) NAV ONE(R) 2100. The latest in Cobra's line of mobile navigation devices, the product offers the perfect combination of effortless technology, portability and features at a competitive price.

In the tradition of Cobra's award-winning mobile navigation products, the NAV ONE 2100 offers industry-leading features and one of the most user-friendly interfaces on the market, all in a compact, portable design. The device includes the exclusive My Favorite Brands feature, which provides over 600 brands accessible at the touch of a button. Once drivers select their favorite brands from categories such as restaurants, large retail chains and famous coffee shops, the companies' brand icons appear on the map to show their locations.

"As one of the early entrants to the portable navigation category, Cobra's products are based on technology that's tried and true," said Tony Mirabelli, senior vice president of marketing and sales for Cobra. "Mobile navigation is no longer a luxury item; it's a must-have for any driver. By offering the features, design elements and price point drivers want, the NAV ONE 2100 is another step toward opening mobile navigation to the masses."

The NAV ONE 2100 is traffic-ready with the richest, up-to-the-minute traffic content available. The optional traffic receiver and subscription delivers personalized traffic data for 50 major metropolitan areas throughout the United States via four color-coded levels of traffic flow information. In addition, Cobra's patent-pending Compare Routes feature allows the driver to choose from two on-screen routing options to get you around traffic. The new device also offers an SD memory card expansion slot for future feature expansion.

Other features found standard in Cobra's NAV ONE 2100 include an ultra-bright color display in a 3.5-inch touch-screen; millions of points of interest; the widest temperature usability range on the market (allowing functionality in conditions ranging from -4 to 158 degrees Fahrenheit); recognizable, easy-to-use graphics; and some of the highest quality mapping and route guidance in the industry. The device features highly accurate digital map data and rich content from Tele Atlas, a leading global provider of digital maps and dynamic content for navigation and location based solutions.

The NAV ONE 2100 will be available at an MSRP of $349.95 at leading retailers in May of 2007. The optional real-time traffic feature is $99.95 with an annual traffic service subscription fee of $59.99 a year.

Cobra's navigation products have recently won acclaim from consumers and reviewers alike. In January 2006, the NAV ONE 4500, which was the first fully integrated real-time traffic mobile navigation device, was named a Consumer Electronics Show Design and Engineering Showcase honoree in the Vehicle/Mobile Electronics category. In the third quarter of 2007, Cobra will continue its success in the mobile navigation category with the launch of a new product, the NAV ONE 5000, offering exclusive features, a five-inch screen and a slim design.

Along with its new navigation devices, Cobra's complete 2007 lines of mobile navigation, two-way radios, radar/laser detection, citizens band and marine products will be on display at the 2007 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, January 8-11 in the Central Hall, booth # 9841, at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Additionally, the company's new radar/laser detection, mobile navigation and two-way radio products will be on display at CES Unveiled on January 6 in the Sands Expo and Convention Center.
