Cobra Electronics Launches a GPS Navigation and Routing Tool Tailored to Professional Drivers
The 7700 PRO is Available for First Preview at the 2009 Great American Trucking Show
DALLAS, Texas (August 20, 2009) — Cobra Electronics (NASDAQ:COBR) announces the launch of the 7700 PRO, a GPS navigation and routing tool specifically tailored to the needs of the professional driver. With truck-specific data, this product provides professional drivers the information they need to optimize routes and arrive at destinations in the most efficient and economical way possible. The 7700 PRO features a seven-inch,16:9 wide screen, offering drivers one of the largest screens available in the category and the convenience of touch screen control.
Cobra has partnered with ProMiles® Software Development Corporation and TruckDown™ Info International, Inc. to include over 33,000 industry leading truck-specific points of interest (POIs) such as routable travel center locations, detailed amenity information, fueling stations, restaurants, heavy duty towing, truck and trailer repair shops, truck-friendly hotels and weigh scales, plus more than 12 million standard POIs.
The 7700 PRO uses advanced routing information based on the vehicle’s height, width and weight and provides complete coverage data including STAA National Highway Network and Access Roads; National Bridge Inventory List; National HazMat Route Registry; and detailed truck data for the lower 48 States and Canada.

As an added bonus, the 7700 PRO features a “car mode” that enables professional drivers to use the device in their personal vehicles as well.
